ATS résumé checker

See how applicant tracking systems read your résumé, what's holding it back, and exactly how to fix it.

What we check

Two layers: fixed format checks that give the same answer every time, and a review of your wording that quotes your résumé line by line.

  • Can an ATS read it: real text, not a scanned image, in a PDF or Word file.
  • Contact details, standard section headings and dates, so every field lands in the right place.
  • Length, and bullets that show results rather than duties.
  • Fixes that never ask you to claim something you haven't done.

Questions

What is an ATS?

An applicant tracking system is the software most employers use to collect applications. It reads your résumé into fields and lets recruiters search it, so a résumé it can't read well is easy to miss.

How is the score worked out?

It starts at 100 and loses a fixed number of points for each issue: 20 for critical, 8 for major and 3 for minor. Every issue is listed, so you can see exactly where the points went.

Is it free?

Yes. A free account includes 3 checks a month. Paid plans include unlimited checks.

Do you keep my résumé?

No. An uploaded file is read once to make the report and isn't stored. The report is saved to your account so you can come back to it.
