- Why did my top match score that?
- How are my applications going?

Two roles in your list stand out. Fernway's Senior Product Designer scores 92: it asks for design systems and user research, and both are on your profile.
- One gap across your top matches: prototyping in Figma
- Both roles are open to remote candidates

Question 2 of 3: Tell me about a time you built or changed a design system. How did you get teams to use it? (This tests design systems leadership.)
At Brightline I led a shared component library for our three product teams. I ran weekly office hours and paired with engineers on their first screens. Within two quarters all three teams were building new screens from it.

Good answer.
What worked:
- Clear ownership: you led it
- A real result: all three teams adopted it
To make it stronger:
- Open with the problem the library solved
- Say what you'd do differently next time
A stronger version, from your own experience:
At Brightline, our three product teams needed one shared way to build screens, so I led a component library for them. To get it used, I ran weekly office hours and paired with engineers on their first screens. Within two quarters, all three teams were building new screens from it.

FAQ
Questions about Penny
What is Penny?
Penny is the AI career agent inside ApplyRunner. It knows your profile, your resume, your skills gaps, your job matches and your applications, so you can ask where you stand and what to do next in plain words.
How is Penny different from a general AI chatbot?
A general chatbot only knows what you paste into it. Penny works from your ApplyRunner data: the jobs matched to you with their real scores and gaps, and the status of every application. It answers about your search, not careers in general.
Is Penny free?
Yes, to start. Every plan includes Penny: 15 messages a day on the free account, 40 on Starter and 100 on Pro. Each interview practice answer and each briefing counts as one message.
Can Penny apply to jobs or change my profile?
No. Penny only reads. It can't send applications, approve jobs, or change your profile, resume or answers. When something needs doing, it points you to the page where you can do it yourself.
How does interview practice work?
Pick a job from your list or paste a posting, then choose a quick round of 3 questions or a full round of 6. Penny asks one at a time, rates each answer Strong, Good or Needs work, says what worked and what to tighten, and writes a stronger version using only your resume and your own answer. You can also get a one-page briefing on the job.
Does Penny make things up?
Penny is built not to. It answers from your own data, and match scores are the real ones. A stronger interview answer that adds anything not in your resume or your answer is dropped. Penny can still make mistakes, so check important details.
Does Penny help during a real interview?
No. Practice is for before the interview. Penny doesn't listen in or feed you answers live: that would mean recording other people and would undermine the trust employers place in you.
Who can see my conversations?
Only you. Your conversations are tied to your account, included when you export your data, and removed when you delete your account.
